A Delhi-Doha flight makes an emergency landing in Karachi: Pakistani authorities

A Qatar Airways departure from New Delhi to Doha made a crisis arrival early Monday in Pakistan’s southern city of Karachi after it fostered a “specialized shortcoming”, as per the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) here.

Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) representative Saifur Rehman affirmed that Qatar Airways’ flight QR-579 had landed securely at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.

Rehman said the Doha-bound trip of Qatar Airways QR579 had taken off from New Delhi at 3.20 (India time) and made a crisis arrival in Karachi around 5.30 in the first part of the day.

“The commander pronounced a crisis after location of smoke in the airplane’s freight hold,” Rehman said.

He said the airplane team and travelers generally landed and were taken to the air terminal parlor and gave crisis administrations at the Jinnah International Airport and left securely on the help flight.

“The pilot mentioned to make a crisis arrival and the control tower and CAA staff answered promptly given the idea of the issue, he said.

As the runway was cleared for crisis handling, a departure from Doha, bound to land in Karachi, needed to keep flying upward for some time. A few different flights, including Air Lanka’s UL-183, traveling to Karachi, needed to stand by prior to arriving because of the crisis circumstance, authorities said.

Qatar Airways said its flight “QR579 from Delhi to Doha on 21 March redirected to Karachi having announced a crisis because of the sign of smoke identified in the freight hold”.
